House Bill 728 Information

Description: HB 728 would require the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections to work in concert with the Department of Transportation and Department of Human Services to help people transitioning out of prison obtain a driver’s license, Pennsylvania state ID, and/or work permit.

  • HB 728 would assist people with their reentry process and help them take necessary steps to obtain employment, housing, and education. We should consider all the ways to reduce the barriers people experience when transitioning out of incarceration and make re-entry successful for more returning residents.
